Questions Buyers Ask
What does ±0.1% FS accuracy include?
The ±0.1% FS figure covers non-linearity, hysteresis and repeatability together (BFSL method) at 25 °C. Temperature influence is specified separately at ±0.01–0.02% FS/°C so you can budget total error across your process temperature.
Should I choose HART or RS485 Modbus-RTU?
Choose HART when your control system reads 4–20 mA and you want occasional remote diagnostics — it rides on the existing analog pair. Choose RS485 when you need multi-drop digital values, fast polling or direct PLC/SCADA integration over a bus.
Is the PT200 available with explosion-proof certification?
Yes — an Ex ia IIC T4 intrinsically safe option is available for hazardous areas. Confirm your zone classification and gas group with us so the certificate matches your installation requirements.
Can the wetted parts be made from Hastelloy?
Yes. The standard build is 316L; Hastelloy C-276 wetted diaphragm and process port are available for chloride-rich, sour or highly corrosive media. Specify the media composition on your inquiry and we will confirm suitability.
How is the PT200 calibrated and verified?
Every unit is calibrated against a traceable standard and ships with a test certificate showing zero, span and linearity at multiple points. We can also provide a third-party calibration certificate on request for metering applications.
